Homemade sourdough pizza with a pesto sauce, roasted artichokes and poblano peppers with feta and parmesan cheese: it was superb. We picked the artichokes at a local farm and the sourdough is from my wild starter. I love those sourdough breadsticks so much I included the recipe in my book. I even use hard cider to make them.

The tart and slightly bitter Pink Paradise hard cider is a nice combination with the pesto and salty cheeses. I really enjoyed this pairing but I like this hard cider with about any food! It’s a favorite hard cider recipe of mine.

The pour is a clear peachy gold with medium to high effervescence. The aroma is grapefruit. The taste is dry, tart, and bitter grapefruit. The finish is astringent and tart. The mouthfeel is medium.
